G R E E N  M O O N  fêtera ses 10 ans en 2020 ! Pour l’occasion, nouveau projet, nouveau répertoire, nouvel album. .

C’est d’abord une longue suite de carrefours. De musiciens, chacun au croisement de plusieurs influences. Violon, guitare, mandoline, contrebasse, harmonica, batterie et trompette fondent ensemble une ville dansante, planante et tonitruante qui fait vibrer son énergie et ses mélodies. Tout un univers de singularités.
 

LAKOTA, c’est un peu comme une famille où chacun aurait mis son grain de sel pour la recomposer. Sextet né d’un trio, projet issus d’amitiés de longue date, il évolue en flux tendu sur des compositions qui sortent du folk traditionnel. La « tribe » envahit la scène avec un groove qui ne peut que faire bouger, déversant une panoplie de morceaux-histoires qui tiennent en haleine et font secouer les têtes de l’avant vers l’arrière.

Du jazz acoustique qui prend racine dans un héritage folk. Les compositions sont influencées par ADHD, Derek Trucks, Maurice Ravel, Roy Hargrove, Punch Brothers,... et plus encore !

G R E E N  M O O N  will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2020 ! For the occasion, new project, new repertoire, new album. The trio becomes a sextet, the group becomes a tribe and will henceforth bear the name LAKOTA for this sextet configuration.

First of all, it's a long series of crossroads. Musicians, each at the crossroads of several influences. Violin, guitar, mandolin, double bass, harmonica, drums and trumpet together create a dancing, soaring and thundering city that makes its energy and melodies vibrate. A whole universe of singularities.

LAKOTA is a bit like a family where everyone has put his grain of salt to make it up again. Sextet born from a trio, a project born out of longstanding friendships, it evolves in a tense flow on compositions that come out of traditional folk. The "tribe" invades the stage with a groove that can only make you move, pouring out a panoply of story pieces that keep you on the edge of your seat and make you shake your head from front to back.
